Oral Surgery

Whenever possible, we’ll do what it takes to keep healthy natural teeth in your mouth where they belong. However, when a tooth is damaged or detrimental to the health or movement of other teeth, Marina Hills Dental may recommend an extraction. Drs. Diehl and Dr. Weber can perform both standard and surgical tooth extractions. A standard extraction is generally defined as removal of teeth that are visible in the mouth, where a surgical extraction is required when a tooth is impacted (completely or partially obscured by the gums), most commonly often seen in wisdom teeth.

Implant Placement

Marina Hills Dental provides complete implant procedures under one roof—both implant placement and the final restoration—so there is no need to see an outside specialist for permanent tooth replacement. Titanium dental implants are surgically placed in our office before we send you home to heal and regenerate a new tooth root prior to implant crown restoration or installation of other replacement teeth that finish the process. For more details and information about dental implants available from your Spring Creek dentists, please visit our dental implants page.

Bone Grafting

In order for a dental implant to be successful, jawbone density needs to be sufficient for long-term support. Marina Hills Dental can perform a bone grafting procedure prior to the implant process as a measure to supplement your jawbone if there has been previous bone loss to help maintain your facial structure, alignment, and a healthy bite. Bone grafting has the capability to allow patients to receive successful dental implants that would not otherwise be candidates for the process. Our dentists and team would be happy to go over your options.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full mouth reconstruction is a systematic treatment plan to restore your smile that involves any combination of services we offer that are required to make that a reality. We take every factor into consideration—your oral and overall health, budget, lifestyle, and smile goals—and use that combined data to create a plan to rebuild your smile from the ground up. Whether you have teeth that need a lot of repair or no teeth at all, Marina Hills Dental can bring back your health, your hope, and your quality of life. We would love to help you find your ultimate smile solution!

About 10 million Americans are affected by disorders of the temporomandibular joints (TMJ) that connect the jawbones to the skull. (The disorder is also called TMJ, TMD, TMJD, or any number of other interchangeable acronyms, but we’ll call it TMJ here to simplify things.) Possible causes for TMJ include injury to or misalignment of the teeth or jaw, arthritis, stress, teeth grinding or clenching (bruxism)—even chewing gum! Grinding and clenching the teeth during sleep affects about 8% of U.S. adults. Your Spring Creek dentists can order a custom-fit nightguard to alleviate the symptoms of bruxism.

Sleep Apnea

The National Sleep Foundation estimates that about 18 million American adults and between 2% and 10% of U.S. children suffer from sleep apnea, a disorder that persistently and repeatedly interrupts breathing, depriving the brain of oxygen during sleep. Left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, and other serious health problems. Most sleep apnea sufferers are treated with a CPAP machine, but many patients cannot tolerate CPAP therapy. If you have a sleep apnea diagnosis or have already given up on your CPAP, ask us about oral appliance therapy today
